Anyhow I installed the Java app on my S60 7610 some time ago and it refused to work.
I tried all kinds of suggestions regarding security certificates etc. but it kept on giving the save error "Please ensure that you have a working connection" or something along those lines.
So last night I am playing with Widsets trying to run my battery down for a bit of battery maintanance and I decide to try the Gmail app again ........ and guess what it now works.
There must have been some fiddling on the Vodacom end as I did not change anything since I gave up trying last time. Unfortunately this might also mean that it could stop working very abruptly when they fiddle again ...... I pray not.
Would recommend the gmail java app for all Gmail users on the go.
