Does anybody know of any good LAN (Ethernet) based Harddisk that supports Windows LAN, FTP and NAS (print server would also be nice) like this D-Link one, but at a reasonable price?

R766.04 incl D-Link DNS-120 network storage adapter , 1 utp + 2 usb port for USB external HDD or USB flash drive , built-in FTP server to access files over the Internet

R1505.23 incl D-Link DNS-300 1 HD bay network storage adapter with built-in printer server , 1 utp + 2 usb port for extra USB external HDD or USB flash drive , or USB printer , built-in FTP server to access files over the Internet

There is a planet option but they are over 2k

I always thought the Asus WL-HDD 2.5 looked like a cleaver little unit. Its major winning appeal being the fact that it is wireless.

The firmware is based on a Linux port and there is a whole bunch of custom firmware for it, adding all sorts of useful features.

The only place that seems to have it for sale in South Africa is TechDigital, it's slightly more expensive then the D-Link DNS-120 but maybe Person can supply it at an even cheaper rate ;)

Thanks for your reply and it sounds fairly priced ... where can I get these? :)

Pfff... I would undercut your price but thats a cheap way to do business. I Offer products and after sales support at the good price, and dont try it underhandedly sell my products.

Any chance of getting a price on the Asus WL-HDD 2.5? As far as I know, Corex are the distributors.

I'm glad to see that your site is finally up and running, would be nice to have a search feature though ;)
