Got a new phone

Ok, I got the Motorola Razr V3 on contract day ago, I have my number now and everything is fine...except:

1) I cannot seem to be able to set up my gprs and mms's. Everytime I try to activate the service via web, it fails. If I do it manually via SMS, I don't get any reply SMS's, so i assume then that it fails, and I even tried customer ccare, and they assured me I would be getting confermation SMS's to tell me how to set up my phone, etc, but no such luck. Anyway....maybe this is my luck. I got the phone on casualchat 100 (contract) yesterday.

2)I can't seem to figure out how to send a call-me-back. Can anyone tell me, perhaps?

What network? Is casual chat mtn?

I really like my razr. Had a few syncing issues in the beginning (iSync) but it was soon sorted. My mms/gprs settings wouldnt work in the beginning but that was with Vodacom.

Dial 111 number # yes/ok. The recipient will then receive an SMS with the text, "Please call me" followed by your 084 telephone number. This is restricted to five free messages per day.

YAY! Thanks. I feel so stupid now. I will go to the Cell C shop and ask them to help me tomorrow with my GPRS and MMS problem.

I said in my opinion.
I had a V3 and found it fiddly to use looks great tho.
Cell C customer care could help me on 1 of my 7 queries.
I`ll keep arb comments to myself from now on didnt mean to upset u all
 
In my opinion ;) I dont believe anyone was upset in the slightest.
 
Cell C is only good if you ONLY want to make cheap phone calls and send sms. NOTHING more.

I also battled to get my 6310i and 6680 to work on GPRS. You can send an sms or register on the web, that didn't work. Kept getting error message about my phone not being recognised. Eventually phoned the helpdesk to activate it.

Speeds on "EDGE" on my 6680 is slow, you get GPRS speeds at best, if you're lukcy. I have to dial a couple of times usually before it authenticates. No such problems on Vodacom or MTN.

If you want to use your phone for internet as well, stay AWAY from Cell C.
 
I would never touch Cell C or the motorola phone with a 40 foot barge pole, I am sorry. I know people who regret Using Cell C and I used to have major problems with motorola so am never touching one of their phones ever ever again....
 
I wonder if this follows the trend we've seen with ISPs... "We keep our prices lower than the rest so we cant afford to give your customers decent service". It differs from area to area, but i found mtn to have the most reliable gprs service here
