To whom it may concern:
This letter is to confirm that I Dylan Winik ID no (ID Number) would like to cancel my ADSL connection on the following phone number: 011 (phone number).
Please note that ONLY the ADSL connection must be cancelled and not the phone line itself, the line must be swapped back to a normal voice line.
I have decided to cancel my ADSL because of the shocking service Telkom has given me. I have never delt with a company before who does not give a damn for any of its clients.
When I called to order ADSL the women asked me how many ext’s do you have on the line and I said around 8. She said that should be fine. If she told me that that could cause a problem I would of gladly said install a new line for ADSL.
Since iv had ADSL I have not been able to stay connected for longer then a 3 hour period at a time. I have called Telkom 10 times a day spoken to 10 different people, been told call this no, call that no… spending half my day at work on the phone trying to get Telkom to fix my ADSL. Technicians come to my house look around and tell me its because of the amount of ext’s on the line. I approached Telkom about installing a new line on their expense because its their fault it wasn’t done properly from the beginning.
I have had no joy, still have the problem and im expected to pay for these last few weeks? I cant honestly believe Telkom would rather lose the R1000 a month then to lose R404 once off for a new ADSL line to be installed.
Today I called to cancel my ADSL and I was given a number to call by Mervin in Customer Services, I called the 0800 number and was told to call this other 0800 number, once I called the new 0800 number I was referred back to the first one… from there I was given 10217 of which tells me we are currently experiencing large call amounts then disconnects me? Is this the way to treat your clients?
I tell you something iv never been so disgusted with a Services/Company before, for your sake I hope you look to fix things in the near future.
I want feed back on how you are going to credit me for my ADSL as I don’t think I should pay for something that has never worked.
