Yupeeee !!!

ADSL is absolutely FANTASTIC !!!

192 kbps + axxess = absolutely cool internet!

sorry, I am sooo excited !!! I had iBurst until recently !!! after iBurst experience everything seems to be absolutely cool !!! :-)

cool man, what size is your cap.
I also got 192 and very happy and will be moving to axxess shortly

You will feel the need for speed and upgrade soon to dsl384.

30GB, but I may need more looking at the flat max speed I am getting !!! I was expecting to get like 12 KB/s flat speed, not 24 KB/s :-) even goes to 28 KB/s every now and then ....

I will need faster speed only if I can get unlimited traffic per month ... otherwise it is getting too dangerous :-)

and as a side effect I will need new hard drives soon ...

Adsl

Congratulations, and welcome to erm, Telkom's version of broadband !!! all said and done though, adsl seems to be the most stable, usable connection around :)

yeah, welcome to the joys of ADSL (especially after having had IBurst) - it makes the speeds doubly sweet.. its amazingly calming on the mind to have a net service that just delivers, without any need to be phoning anyone, or having to be yelling on forum about it all the damn time :)

swordfish1, How does it compare in terms of browsing, irc, and downloads....etc as I also wanna go that route.

you can't compare it at all to iBurst if that's your question :-) I haven't tried yet IRC but browsing, downloading and ICQ work flawlessly ... speed is 24 KB/s flat (on 192 kbps package) but will comment on that later after I get more experience!

But most importantly things are working, unlike iBurst, very happy so far!

Well, I can tell you that IRC works flawlessly :) In fact, until recently, Jawug's main IRC server was HOSTED on an ADSL link. That's how stable DSL is.

You can imagine how that would have gone on iBurst.

*.net-*.split ;)
