help overclocking

you click apply right?? hmmm maybe not compatible with that mobo perhaps there is a new version?

it the newest version

but it says pic e and i have agp

so whateva dont really care about 5% increase anyhow :)

Well, first of all your mobo has to have a pci/agp freq. lock, core voltage/freq. adjustment, ram divider, and um the FSB frequency ratio (FSB multi) should be lowered to 4x ideally even for small OC's, 3x as it increases.
I've got my 3200+ at 2500MHz, ..I'm pretty new to OC'ing, but I read up a lot on it, and I'm pretty happy with what I achieved, ..Venice A64's OC better than Winchesters.
Um, ye that's all I can add I think..

go to www.dfi-street.com

this is arguably one of the best sites to learn more about overclocking. Check out "angry_games" post (pdf) on overclocking and learn before you burn.

Remember to watch your temps!

I can think of hundreds of other things to tell you but it would be best for you to read and learn it yourself on the dfi-street website.

decent results MrE... what cooling have you got on your system/cpu?

Shotto mate! :) (you can see my latest seting in my sig.)

Well, it's the stock AMD heatsink, but I lapped it ie. used 600grit sandpaper and a bit of soapy water, and rubbed and scrubbed for quite a while (on a very flat surface), until no ridges could be felt with my nail, ie. as smooth as possible, then used some Antec Silver paste.
Obviously before I did this I ripped off the 70mm fan that comes with it, and cleaned off the old paste with Isopropyl Alcohol (cheap, from any chemist), and also cleaned both the chip and bottom of the heatsink before applying Antec Silver and installing. Remember, no need to wipe off the alcohol, cos it evaporates (as long as you didn't put a bitch-load on that is ;) )
Finally attached a green 80mm Antec Tri-Cool fan set at medium (barely audible).
