Okay, just got myself a copy.Gonna try it out this evening when I get home. Been waiting, for what seems like, forever for this.

Winter Assault was a good ol' game. I like the way every single session is action packed. There is no time for turtling, from the word go the initiative is all that counts.
That said, I could never play quite fast enough to beat the higher difficulty settings!
On another note, I am finding the third mission of Inferno in HommV rather challenging. I'm playing on hard, but damn, it's just too difficult!
The only gripe I have about the game is that there is no way to quit from the battle screen. I have to wait till the end of every battle.

Never played HoMM 1-3, but I tried playing HoMM IV a while back and it turned me off the whole franchise. But being bored this weekend I loaded the Demo of V that came with NAG and really liked it. Rushed out to Budget to get the full thing and have been having a blast ever since.
