How good is the IS NNTP Server

Good day Everyone,

I would like to know how good the IS News (NNTP) server is?
Does it have most of the alt.binairies? How complete are the posts and what is the retention period like? If this has been discussed before please dirrect me to the discussion - searching for 'IS NEWS' brings back alot of hits.

My 'idea' is to run IS Local only for the news server and Web Africa Prepaid for the International Stuff.

They might not be willing to but using antibody's route sentry you can. Many buy a saix for international and a IS for local.

Well, I made the mistake of getting the DG834GT Wireless router, it does not have Bridge or Modem mode. So basicly I am stuck manually switching between the 2.
 
Because u bought a "router" not a "modem". Running a router in modem mode means ur missing out on a lot of security and admin features.

Yeah - as dabouncer points out security takes a knock so make sure you have a decent software firewall running if you go and use it in bridged mode.
