I think that Telkom has been brainwashing their own technicians for so long that they also believe this crap. However, many of them seem to see the light and start thinking along the same lines as us. But they will not criticize their employers anyway.

The only thing that really will force telkom to change its ways is competition.

Agreed. No employee in his / her right mind is going to bite the hand that feeds them.... however I am sure that there are a number of them that are eagerly awaiting competition - better salaries, more demand for their services, career advancement opportunities etc...
