How SAPS protects the killers within its ranks

This is what happens when a communist and criminal government rules a country. They look after themselves only. This will never change and something you need to become used to if you live in this country because this will never change.
 
Who the hell still wants to be a cop?

In the Western world blessed with wonderfully diverse people, you better hope that when your life gets threatened or you have to approach someone, that person is white.

It's mostly not really about wanting to be a cop but more about being unable to be anything else.

No, simply saying it is wrong is what should be done. If you say the US and others do it then you are condoning it or at least trying to make excuses. If that is the case then this country truly is screwed as all bad behaviour will be justified because others do it or have done it.

Crap! People choose to be cops. It's not like that's the destination of people who can't be anything else. Hell, we would have no people on the streets if that was the case as they'd all be cops by your logic. (PS: They're there for other reasons).

I think you are the one with the flawed logic, the government can only afford to employ so much cops, didn't we have thousands of people applying for a couple of hundreds positions in the SAPS not too long ago?

If the government could employ anyone who is willing to be a cop maybe we really wouldn't have anyone on the streets, except those who don't want to work. Yes there are people who wants to be cops, others are just there because it's an employment opportunity, people are desperate for jobs.

Nope...I'd say I disagree but that means that I'd support, in part what you said prior to this message along with this message being quoted. Or give it more though than what it's worth (so after this comment there's nothing more).
You lost the plot though...I was generalising everyone being a cop on purpose. Obviously government can't afford to employ more cops. I mean that would mean crime would come down. Plus they'd have to get rid of a lot of useless and generally redundant staff sitting around doing nothing in favour of people who would make a difference in society's daily issues.

The pre 1994 police didn't pretend their members weren't protected. Todays cops do. That's the difference.
