How to get support from Web Africa

Yoh... You sound really p155ed at them dude :)

My problems mostly resolved now, so I am settling down again. When things work, they are good. It is just when you need their support for something that the wheels fall off and frustration goes through the roof.

Just this migrating of all these email accounts from one server to another server ALL IN THE SAME COMPANY that I have to do myself that pi55es on my battery. And their expectation that I must monitor the packages on offer to see if I can get a better deal IN THE SAME company. Oh well...

Naw, this is why I said you might want to take the opportunity to move away. http://elitehost.co.za would help you move everything and you're guaranteed support when you need it.

It's fine when things work, that is what you pay for, including the support they offer/advertise. And when you NEED support, it's not a question of just waiting DAYS for your **** to be answered/fixed. Just unacceptable.

Take into account the amount of hours you had to spend back/forth with them before an issue got resolved, then work out how much it cost you in time (time is money) to handle all that when, if their support were up to scratch, would have been close to 0. Then make a call and ask yourself if it's worth your time AND money to stay with them.

Remember, this isn't the first time, it won't be the last and in the end.... well... let's just say i have a server up and running that I barely notice because it just ALWAYS works, and when there is an issue, it's solved 5 min later

I have a partnership with another company. The dedicated server is under that companies name, and not my current reseller account. I can be dof, but not THAT dof.

Well this information was never supplied to us and the only customer code you supplied to me was the one via PM which was incorrect as well. I had to find the correct details via a customer search and since the dedicated server is under a business name there was no point of reference.

Like I said before the packages are on totally different platform of servers which is why we could not adjust your package accordingly and of course the migration aspect. We definitely don't want our customers to be in the dark and actually prefer our customers to migrate onto our new packages as its easier to manage.

Nonetheless, I'm glad that you have managed to get a package that will give you much better value for money.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with.

It was not necessary for my question. I simply needed to know if port forwarding was done on the WA side.
2 days for an answer to that...
