Hi

I have a problem with my HP officejet 4000 series i have a network running through a linksys wirless router, The printer is shared on one of the desktop computers, every time a host comes online the driver wants to install on it, even if it had alredy installed on the same computer 10 times already. this is rely confusing as well as irratating.

thanks in advance

Just check your sharing options of the printer @ printer properties, make sure the tick box to install additional drivers is de-selected.

I can't find an officejet 4000 on the hp website, are you sure that's the correct model number? Isn't it 4100?

hi

I talked to the HP tech on the website, They told me to run msconfig on the host with the printer and under startup i must un tick all the boxes for HP. then restart this will apparently solve the problem. of the drivers installing on the hosts every time they logon. I will try this later when all the laptops come in this moring. Thanks for recomending the website, this online help is really great.

I hope this helps but will kep you informed,

thanks again for all your help.

regards
