Just what I need when bills need to be paid. Seems that some secure sites are not accessible. https://www.encrypt.standardbank.co.za/ for example. However, if I VPN through to my office and then out on my ADSL all works fine.

Helpdesk deny any problem exists. I suspect a flaky transparent proxy somewhere. Cumon guys... get it right.

(And NO - this is not the https problem when you're capped. I've got over 500MB left)...

People seem to have this problem occasionally, I've never had a problem with https sites except that they might be slower than normal http.

I guess you're in JHB then, they seem to have that proxy which causes all the trouble.

People seem to have this problem occasionally . . .JHB . . . that proxy which causes all the trouble.
Any way around this ?
Local https seems okay, but I'm battling with International.
Trying to buy some software for the last two hours - and the UK supplier tells me this :-

It is working fine from here. So perhaps a routing issue from ZA? Perhaps try a bit later, or from a different ISP if you have one, or I could phone you and take your details and enter them into the order page by proxy?

Workarounds / proxy cache flush ?

Transient

I managed to get in last night - so must assume it's either a load thing - or was a transient problem, maybe not even iBurst related.
