I'll contact them manually, including those you posted.

Yes, that will work. I'm using two of these with a Poynting antenna: https://www.takealot.com/rf-adapter-sma-female-to-ts9-gold/PLID60539846 slightly tight fit, but works wellHey wondering if someone can assist before I pull the trigger, I'm using a Huawei B618-65d - I've worked out the connector on the back is called a "TS9" so can I buy an adapter like this?
TS9 adapter (takealot)
Looks like I need to two of them or do you only use one of the ports?

Will that allow it to work with any SMA type antenna?

Wow ... what an insane price for an adapter.Yes, that will work. I'm using two of these with a Poynting antenna: https://www.takealot.com/rf-adapter-sma-female-to-ts9-gold/PLID60539846 slightly tight fit, but works well
Care to elaborate on that point?slightly tight fit
Yes, expensive but they work.Wow ... what an insane price for an adapter.

Don't depress yourself - rather tell yourself that you have branched out!So I moved into the sticks.
Indeed it has, and indeed it will.Hopefully this thread will help others too.
I've seen Takealot has it.Thanks.
It shows I should get this antenna:

My Google-fu is letting me down.
I can't seem to find it in S.A.
You can also consider the Ottenna brand from Otto Wireless. Their 11db guy has the same specs as poynting but is usually quite a bit cheaperI've seen Takealot has it.
So which antenna(model) did you end up buying? I don’t see you stating which one you bought, and so far has it given you reliable speeds? So I moved into the sticks.
I'm getting low signal quality, but very decent throughput.
26ms latency and averages of about 43Mbps download. Upload is low, but not a concern for me.
I'm fine with it. I don't want to invest more money in a connection for the purpose it serves.
Thanks again for the help.
Hopefully this thread will help others too..
Hi,So which antenna(model) did you end up buying? I don’t see you stating which one you bought, and so far has it given you reliable speeds?
Oh wow such speeds I guess you really have an improved tower nearby. And I guess it’s not Rain but another network, maybe Telkom. Ok then, thanks for your response... I’m getting an antenna tomorrow so I’ll see on my side what will improve, this is for Rain.Hi,
As grace would have it, I've got better signal where I am now with speeds hitting up to 90Mbps at times.
I didn't need to buy an external antenna.
I only used the Huawei App on my phone to get an optimal location where to place the router.
Aside from the fact that I completely lose connectivity on some days, I don't have any issues with signal.
The lack of connectivity seems to be with the tower though. Theft, electricity, not sure to be honest.
Edit: my earlier post was when I didn't have optimal placement of the router, so I only hit 43Mbps.. It's improved a lot now.
