Hi guys,

I got my 3g 2Gb bundle a couple of months ago, but have a question.
I see on my invoices that I get charged for packet data calls as well as the normal subscription fee.

This is a problem, cause last month just the calls were R400! and I am not sure I should be charged for dialup using the E220 modem ?

The thing is, I am using it via ubuntu linux and the nr I am using for the connection is *99#, should it be *99***1# instead ?

any info would be appreciated !

thanks,

The dial up number is correct.

If you with MTNSP. Pls PM me your number and I'll check it for you.

I have had the same problem with MTNSP...

What happens is that MTN load your 2gig bundle as two seperate 1 gig bundles. This means that when you are nearing the end of your first gig and stay connected as it runs out you get charged for that connection before the 2nd gig kicks in.

I am in th process of having a battle with MTN to get the charges refunded.....

That's kinda crap. I hope you got your refund. If you can say, what was the outcome?
