I have been using vm for data and its the bomb.I never thought that internet could be so cheap.
Good speeds to.
I have no complaint,and i advice those that have not done so do so
:cool:

I second what dablakmark8 said. VM data rules!

New VM user?

Yeah, the price goes down well. The network might as well be an ocean though. When you get flat waters you glide from coast to coast very nicely. On the otherside, you seldom see a calm ocean and when it gets rough, you capsize (stall or disconnect)

Helpdesk is entertaining, but atleast it doesn't take an hour to speak to someone (unlike other service providers)

Yes, the difference is that the other SP's help desks have clueless nuts who actually spend 10 odd minutes trying to do something but failing hopelessly at doing so. Thus spending 10 minutes per client and quickly building up a backlog.

Whereas Virgin Mobile has clueless nuts highly trained at putting the phone down as fast as possible by providing a really ridiculous excuse as to your problem, in order that they may put the phone down on the next guy as well - consequently keeping the lines clear.

:D :D :o

Interesting methaphor @ repitah, but it really isn't that bad. No worse than Vodacom's Vlive! in my area.

Yeah, the price does go down as well.

Like this (figures in Rands from my VM airtime balance)

15:15
14:89
15:39

They are paying me to use their GPRS.:eek:
LOL:D

@ Skeptik, same here. Even when I send an SMS, I usually get refunded for it. This is my airtime record since this morning. I've downloaded almost 200MB and I've surfed a lot. Every significant decrease in airtime is either an SMS or a voice call.

R131.74
R130.74
R131.71
R130.71 <== Sent an SMS
R131.71 <== Whoops - they overcharged me for the SMS, so they just refund everything...

R131.70
R131.68
R127.68 <== Sent SMS to multiple recipients
R130.93 <== WTF? Another airtime refund for the SMSs?
R130.92
R124.05 <== 4 minute voice call happened here
R123.55 <== SMS sent
R122.54 <== Random airtime deduction
R124.55 <== And another random refund

Now what the funk is up with the billing system? Had it been working properly, I would have been charged more than my original balance. This is wonderful - I love VM :D
