I-mate Jasjar

Hi, we plan to release this product before the end of 2005. Unfortunately I cannot be specific, but this means it should be available within the next couple of months.

I spoke with Leaf Wireless at the recent Tech Expo, and the rep is hoping for Christmas.

It's going to cost you though. His estimate was something in the region of R2500 when bundled with a 500 contract or R8000+ cash.

I also got a good look at the JAM. Very nice - just a pity it only does EDGE, and not 3G.

The i-Mate does appear to support 3G (WCDMA). However it only supports 802.11b, not g - which is a pity!

Who needs more than B anyway

I mean... this is telkom country... :-)

Expansys is a waste of time. They are based in the UK and you have to make your own arrangements to pick up your orders from their warehouse in the UK. Then, since the price does not include import duties, you'd have to slap on roughly 23% over and on top of the selling price to get it past customs, not counting shipping costs.

Their website is misleading!

I agree with u Titanium, Expansys is waste of time about 5 months back i tried to order a pouch for my ipaq and a phone and they refused to get it shipped over here wasted alot of time and effort and was mislead by this site, all users need to be warned about this!
