I need a good PHP IDE

notepad++ with the php manual and a local running server of Apache can only do you good.
EXTREMELY FAST. And the php interpreter will show you any errors.
So you can debug as you develop.

Old school ;)

That's old school now? I though old school was notepad...
Must admit even with komodo I still open a lot of things in notepad++. Sometimes in ultraedit. They all have certain advantages.

Aptana Studio with PHP plugin, dedicated Centos Box for all development work with Samba for easily working with files and of course Firebug.
