I need a new Office Mouse

If you recognise this mouse, you know how awesome it is.

Its the Nokia 3310 of mice.

Just for future reference, if you make your coffee strong enough, those bits left at the bottom of the cup can be molded into something you might find usable for said catapult :D

Bah madness those chewy bits are for snacks when the drinking bits are finished.

I have a Logitech G602 for a work mouse. The thumb buttons add loads to productivity and the battery life is quite decent, averaging around 2 months in Stamina mode. Honestly, I have no need for the mouse's Performance mode - I can't feel a difference in my daily operation.

Nope, it doesn't count. :)

Snazzy looking device. A little pricey though... although Takealot are either trying to fleece the unsuspecting or ...

Takealot - R 1,443
Loot - R 860
Nivo - R 1,230
Wootware - R 1,199

... Loot might be a good price, but with no stock. Takelot feels like they are out to fleece.

I bought my G602 for R500 on a Takealot daily deal last year... Logitech peripherals seem to have risen in cost astronomically these days.

My office mouse is my second most important peripheral after my keyboard. For this reason I have always gone wireless (less clutter) and more mobile. It gets used 9 to 10 hours a day. The wheel in it decided to quit on me and I cannot cope without it for scrolling documents and spread sheets.

It is a Logitech M705.

Any recommendations on a replacement (wireless preferred) and fairly robust?

(Smooth scrolling with backward / forward inputs is a bonus.)

Thank you :)

Logitech MX Master... No question!
