Why're you called 'Silent Bob' if you say stuff??Silent_Bob said:OH YEAH, i got the second post of the first thread. HEHE. Enjoy!
ic said:IMO you're neglecting the fact that it is Bob's underscore that's silent:
"Silent_Bob" [read Silent_ that belongs to Bob]
PS: What is this dialup thread about...?
Especially so if your ISP is Telkom. Forget about doing a full weekend, from Fri 19h00 to Mon 07h00, without at least one disconnect. I used them for about 2 months and then changed to Discovermail. What a difference, like I said, reminds me of the good old ICON days.skuzzy said:Yes, it would seem that telkom have instituted the "im not allowed infinite-calls" thing and i seem to be getting disconnected every 1-2 hours![]()
lol yes, just be sure to have a handfull of prozac or Valium at the ready. Think there might also be quite a bit of hair lying about, so maybe a few brooms as well.kilps said:Lets have a reality show - broadband users go back to dialup for one week![]()
Wierd, I've been using them for about a month now, and absolutely no probs. Strange that you get disconnected. I wonder if it has to do with the pop number? I noticed that here in Cape Town they use the same pop number as the old Icon use to have, the 4068500. This numger has always been good to me and judging from the number I wonder if they are riding on (now anyway) Mweb's or UUNet's back? Myabe there's something up with your modem? I had a client with a new (then) US Robotics Internal modem who got disconnected as soon as the modem "warmed up" a bit. Could never figure it out. After the first disconnect (after about 60 min or so) you could forget being connected for more than 10 min at a time. Testing proved useless as Rectum found no probs with it (maybe that's why it's dicontinued), but replacing it with a Duxbury Ext. did the trick.skuzzy said:Hmmm
well i also use dicovery but i still get disconnected
