After struggling to get it for a month i now cant get any reseption
in an area wich acourding to the zone locater should have good reception (corner of Loveday and Devilliers JHB CBD)

O well thats tipical my luck

I saw a guy who got 1 light, and moved his modem 10 cm to the right got him 3 lights

Dont think the modem is stuffed just 500-600 m north of here next to the JHB Civic i get 4 signal lights (acourding to the zone locater there should be no usable signal at the intersection where i got this signal go figure)

Try moving it onto a windowsill, to another side of your house, outside your house, etc.

It's probably all the buildings in that area causing interference.

If I move it from my desk to my window (about a meter), then I go from 2% signal/dropped connections/1 light, to 12% signal/never drops/3 lights.

Otherwise, try the antenna when it comes out. Either way, if it doesn't work, DON'T ACCEPT IT and FORCE them to cancel the contract. Especially if the zonelocator said you had reception.
