Hi everybody

I want to get DSL in order to play World of Warcraft.

I a considering between iBurst or Telkom HomeDSL192. Are there any happy WoW players out there doing it across iBurst? Please let me know.

Thanks.

Go for Telkom ADSL 192 with the UUNET Uncapped account, I hear its good to play on during the day, otherwise stick with the shaped account, but it will be unplayable during the day.

iBurst is good in terms of ping times to the battle.net servers etc, but irratic ping times and disconnections may cause you to die a serious death while fighting a dragon or what not.

ADSL is more stable

I have noticed when the game server gets loaded pings drastically increases....I dont believe this to be a iBurst or other connection problem but instead I believe the server connection gets overloaded (It is a free server after all). When I ping the server i get 46 to just over 100 pings. This morning I was playing and downloading in the background :D I'm level 11 now.

Don't even try overseas game servers! :(

Which server do you play on?

I've found that latency to servers in the US is about 600ms, with a peak at 1000ms (still highly playable). I get a stable latency of about 400ms on local servers with iBurst.
