Iburst vs ADSL

Hey peeps

Is this normal I have Iburst and ADSL at the mo. My pings with Iburst are around 500 but with ADSL around 700-900. Isnt ADSL supposed to be better?:(
 
also found my iburst to be better these last few weeks 300 ping XD
 
WoW seems to be the only place where iBurst is better than ADSL for gaming. Not sure why, any of you iBursters also find the ping improves slightly when your soft-capped?
 
I am soft capped on ADSL and my ping is not so great dont know if it would be better on HardCap. I need to decide which connection to keep any ideas IBurst or Adsl? I only got ADSL cause I thought it was better for gaming!
 
I play mainly on MTN 3G/HSDPA

The last 2 weeks my ping has also dropped to the 550 - 700 Mark.
This is a huge improvement from where it was. I think there might have been some back end things happening to the Wireless networks in this country.

Mayber there is someone from the other providers that could confirm their better pings also. It's was very noticable. As I hade just under and just over
1K pings all these months till 2 weeks back. I'm not complaining :D
 
Yup Im soft capped since then I get great pings. Even with 3 people on WOW at the same time stil not higher that 500 each

On Iburst and I often have better pings than my friends on ADSL.

I'm always getting very good pings playing LOTRO. avg about 300! as low as 270 sometimes. BUT then package loss is often an issue.
 
No on Iburts once im soft capped. PVP is exelent on these latencies.
 
you guys are lucky, I am on Vodacom HSDPA and in the last two weeks my latency has been KUK. average latency 1000 - 5000 ms. DO NOT GET VODACOM HSDPA, Stuck in a contract that I cant use.

If you have Edge coverage switch to that ;)

I had my tower upgraded and could only used Edge. I even ran TS on it and ask Jase. Went llike a charm. ;)
 
I'm running saix unshaped 512 dsl and I average about 500ms to TH. Best I've been was around 280-300ms. Worst, excluding Orgrimar and Shatt, 650ms.
