Imaginet ADSL??

Hi all, I used to use Imaginet for ISDN and they were very good. I want to know if they offer good download rates etc with their ADSL service or are axxess really the best guys to go for? Thanx
 
I'm using Imaginet and yes, their ADSL offering is great, just as good as Axxess.

I chose Imaginet because they were my ISDN ISP as well and I never had a problem, in fact today I just organised to have my old ISDN email account and website moved onto my ADSL account, which was cool 'cos I closed my ISDN account with them in March last year when I got Discovery Health ISDN.
 
I'm also with Imaginet at the mo.
They are pretty good, but I'll be joining Axxess next month - since Imaginet refuse to compete on the 5GB account.
I found this quite irritating, so much for them wanting to compete.

Also they have been pretty unhelpful about problems I've been having with high latency into SAIX games servers. They claim they can only log a fault with SAIX for me, but surely they could at least take a look at my tracerts and explain where the problem is?

You still get rates on your torrents with imaginet?
 
I use Imaginet for my ADSL ISP and I am VERY happy with them. I get excellent pings to my Everquest 2 server in the US. Service is always good and friendly :)
I find it rather interesting that Imaginet and Axxess are both SAIX, but I get better US pings with Imaginet than what Axxess quoted for me...

Prices have changed now, Imaginet is the cheapest.

Imaginate use with everquest 1 & 2

Cananyone tell me who uses Imaginet's ADSL Power 10/20/30 option, can you play Everquest 1 and or 2 and if yes, are the speeds / pings good? Is the gaming smooth or alot of lag and choppiness? I am looking to sign up for an ADSL ISP line and would appriciate any advice. R299 for 30G looks very nice. However i'm new to this unshaped concept as I'm from America where there is no such thing at least in California... I moved to Cape Town and would like to play my EQ2 but want smooth connection playing speed. Also the 4 to 5 G unshaped pack these companies are offering here are insane and rediculous I can download morethan that in weekend easy. Wondering if the power 30G with Imaginet or Axxess or any other company you might recomend would be good enough? Thank you for your time and advice.
 
I play EQ2 (Runnyeye server) on the Imaginet ADSL and get pings ranging from 320-380. No lag at all. I can definately recommend it.
 
You on unshaped? that seems seriously low for any shaped connection.
 
Imaginet kicks ass :) I've been very happy with their service, speed and pretty much everything else. One thing that did catch my eye though was a response I got today on a support query:

Never trust imaginet, they will steal your money!! And bill you over and over again after you canceled their crappy service
 
It is a bit insane to air your problems in every thread. I am sure that if you contacted Imaginet, they would have sorted your problem out. Although I am no longer an Imaginet user(their prices are a bit too high), I always had friendly and efficient service from their staff.
