Our company tried to get the new Capped @ 5+ adsl account from Imaginet.

When we phoned them, we told the person on the line that we couldn't register on the internet because they still had the packages. He then told us that it was correct and that it we would have to wait another 5 days before we could get the new packages! We then asked him if we should then take a old package, whereby the guy responded saying that, yes we should take a old package but it wouldn't be worthwhile.
We then asked if we should then maybe go over to Telkom, whereby the guy again responded yes, rather go to Telkom!!!

We phoned Telkom and had a new account in 4minutes - WORKING fine!:)

I cannot believe that Imaginet would have that kind of attitude towards prospective clients!

Maybe you just got some dude on a bad day, I get great service from them whenever I use them. Pretty bad though, how one schmuck can give your company a bad image, cause he hasn't had lunch or whatever.

Seems a bit odd,

I've only had brilliant service from Imaginet.

This is the exception , someones bad day for sure, Nicky and Dianne in Accounts have been very responsive in their email or telephonic responses.
Pleasure to deal with. For a small company ISP based in Grahamstown.
Well done Darren & Team
We have some really good ISP here on this Forum, always willing
to assist another soul and make right any wrong if their are any.

ISP nightmare

The 1 November is very close. The pricing structure is changing dramatically, and any ISP getting a new client at this point in time will naturally be in a confused mind state as to what to advise the potential client. presently, most ADSL packages have a activation fee, which includes he remainder of the month (5 days).

It is most unfortunate that you obviously got a person who was probably having a bad day, (maybe just got off the line with Telkom) and you got a bad impression.

On the other hand, Telkom is the group that has changed the pricing structure, and thrown a spin off at all ISP's, but who are they to care.

Also this is the reason they connected you so fast, who knows how long this price structure will be in place for?

another 10 years? with the pace our government is "taking us out of the industrial age to the information age" I wouldn't be surprised

Just try to cancel your internet with telkom

They're quick to connect yeah, but I had two wait for two months to get rid of my dialup with telkom and they can not even give you a reference as proof that they canceled it. The person on telkom site said just use my name "tebogo" as your reference and proof that it is disconnected, only to find it still on my bill after two months.

And where the ?#$% is tebogo now ????????

There is probably 50 Tebogos in telkom, wait make that 18, the other 32 probably got packages.
