Hi, I am running MSN Messenger at home and work. I want to connect my mobile phone using Instant Messenging, however require the server name, URL connection. Can anyone provide any assistance?

i have an old c100. can i use this old thing to do instant messaging? and how do i go about setting it up?

sorry, I meant I use gaim on my notebook - haven't done instant messaging on my phone yet...

ok, suppose i have a series 60 phone (which i probably do not, but i'm gonna try and find out! ), how do i go about setting up an instant messenger on the phone. I do realise that i sound utterly moronic on this, but i have no clue what to do. I'm sure there are other who would like to know this as well, right?

plus, if i have GPRS on the phone (which i do, just dont know how to activate) how much will it cost to use it? i am on cellc prepaid

he he, or not enough.

How do I know if my phone is Symbian or anything else? It's a Nokia 6230.

Then again, I find typing on a cellphone way too cumbersome to make it worth the hassle (never mind the cost) to do instant messaging.

Besides, I always have my notebook with me, and I can dial up through the phone (theoretically, I haven't actually had time to do it yet), so what's the point.

hey, its just as cheap to use agile as it is to message from your notebook. where you been hiding the last couple of months :D you only pay for the data transmitted, R2/Mb...
Its not like SMS at all, irrespective of what Microsoft's website says!

I know, I know, I should have been more careful with my words. Let me retry.

1. I find typing letters on a cellphone cumbersome.
2. If I have to IM, I can use my notebook. I can touch type 80wpm, so it's a lot easier.
3. I have negative feelings towards the cost of gprs in general.

I use agile on my symbian Nokia 6260 with blurtooth keyboard and chat away while i am sitting in the taxi. I am on msn 24 hours a day because of my mobile. The best part is that now that I am CAPPED i use my mobile to chat on msn.
