Old thread I know but I'm using an Amazon Fire stick hacked to run Kodi and I also have an Android box, both brought with me from the UK. Both work great on my 6mpbs connection

What is it that will not play? On a guess that you may be talking about Amazon Prime Video, the fact that you created an Amazon account does not mean you can stream as that needs a subscription. We probably need more info. The from is that it doesn't play so we don't know what to do from there.
As far as I can tell the only way you'd be getting the US version of netflix is if you're also utilising a VPN or SmartDNS service, right? Is it possible to change the location setting in the Amazon Fire Stick to South Africa?
So that Netflix displays the South Africa version instead of the US version?
I'm not a huge fan of mine. For SA there are so many other better options.I have 2 and i use daily...Using smartdnsproxy..So many addons and ways to watch.
