Who is this Dyari. I don't see any link to her or him, or to the proof they're using to claim StackSocial is using this illegally.

If StackSocial is using this illegally, MS could close them down in minutes. They're profiting from piracy.

As to your scripts:

Now show proof that MS gets NOTHING back from the resale of those keys.

Because I can show you proof that MS gets NOTHING from the use of those activation scripts.

Now only an angry troll would equate the two options. Buy from a site which claims to be legitimate which is used by other legitimate vendors and payments are made with PayPal (PayPal can block vendors who sell illegal codes). And MS still gets some of that money, because those keys come from MS, they work.

Or break activation / hack the software so it appears activated. Here MS gets NOTHING.

Wow, ever seen this much hostility against pirating on MyBB. The entertainment section is full of it, but it seems like it's just accepted.

There is no proof that all keys are obtained illegally or that sites like Stacksocial obtain them 'illegally' and by that I mean that MS doesn't get anything.


You're claiming that a script which gives MS NO MONEY is the same as buying a key at discount on sites where Visa or MC are authorized payment methods, where MS possibly (at the very least) makes SOME money. However, these two propositions are morally and legally NOT equivalent.

Even Linus can't debunk me here.

If people are buying up left over OEM MS codes, that makes the market for these codes more valuable which allowed MS to produce more in the first place, as they produce them secondary to consumption. Maybe MS got $2 for each code which is supposed to be sold with a new machine, but isn't, but at least they're getting that $2. MS doesn't generate these codes for free and give them away. Someone is paying them peanuts for them, but is still paying them. That someone would buy fewer codes from them or none at all if things were different.

Of course there are also codes which are bought with stolen credit cards. However those may appear on some dodgy www sites or ebay. They are unlikely to appear on legit US based sites like StackSocial.

You have also not shown proof from MS that StackSocial is selling STOLEN codes. You've posted a link to someone who doesn't even identify themselves, a link to a forum.

Given that it's trivial to shut these sites down, Nintendo does it all the time, I wonder why MS doesn't. Maybe because it is still legal to resell these codes by law, at least in the States. Try to find any sites which resell copies of movies or digital music. You won't find any.

Yeah I remember those booklets.
When I got my first PC (Windows 95 I believe) I remember it took me 30 minutes to find the start button (hidden), until then I wasn't that impressed...

That's one guy's experience of having problems activating a key. One guy out of 3-4 years of them selling these keys. I remember in 2022 they were already selling these. So far, MS has no issues with them.

If MS has no issues, then maybe MS doesn't mind and maybe MS is OK with this practice or it's legal.

At the end of the day MS sold these keys somewhere, they made the money, but using a script, that gives MS absolutely nothing.

And these keys could be 100% legit, as I suspect, given MS has not demanded they stop the practice. I do see however that you are very determined to find something, you're wearing that google out.

Lol, the first digital picture of a lady I saw was on a friend's win 95 PC. That and some game called phantasmagoria.
Coming from Dos this was mind blowing.
