There is no uncapped in Cape Town. Even if they say they are uncapped, they will cap you when you use too much.

All of the uncapped little WISPS seem to be in Cape Town, there are quite a few. I used to know loads, but cant remember much anymore, apparently uninet are good though, so check that out.

hmm, well not that Id know about their service wrt whether they will cap you or not, but thier are at least 5 of these guys.

Well wo.co.za, the uninet one, and then there are two in the cape ads that offer 512kb uncapped I think, cant go and get the adresses now.

Been downloading 10-20GB per month with www.uninet.co.za for over 2 years now (256 package) and never had a problem.

The WISP I'm with also don't cap users on usage. Their website is under construction, but you can e-mail [email protected] for more details.

They offer speeds from 64K up to 512K and don't shape the traffic. They do however block P2P, but they have their own information sharing system in place.

There's probably alot of unlisted (on hellkom that is) wisps in the cpt region but, as everyone will probably know and you yourself probably tried, just go to hellkom.co.za and click on the wireless tab.

Not many options to choose from tho but i find uninet very satisfying.

how do you find them now, and what package are you on?

saying uncapped is one thing, but when a "broadband" connection can only download at 3k/s, then that's a bloody capped connection anyway...

got 2 or so mates with them and they are all very happy. the 1 playes hellgate london on it and gets a ping of 200!!

I agree, they are all on pretty big contention ratios and if you go past what they deem to be acceptable then they will throttle you.
