ISDN 2a 64K Channel

I hve a 64k ISDN 2a which i use for the internet, I've heard I can convert this to a 128k line, how do i go about doing that and what are the costs

I've contacted Telkom, they lost as i am

Just set up a new connection bonding both 64K channels.

You need to set up channel bonding. I'm not sure how you do it in Windows but your ISP should be able to help you if they support it.

Note :
1. Not all ISPs support channel bonding and the ones that do normally charge extra for the service. As far as I know Telkom Internet do not support channel bonding on ISDN so if you're with them you'll have to find another ISP which does support this feature such as Posix.
2. You pay for two calls (one call per channel) so your bills will double!

Your service provider has to upgrade your connection from 64k to 128 k, You then have to use your ISDN modem settings to change from using one channel to using both.

Is ISDN really worth the costs?? Is it more reliable than cheap broadband? I'm trying to see the attraction - it certainly will NEVER increase in speed.

I don't think its worth the cost!!! But some of us cant get ADSL thats why we are on ISDN!!!!Personally I'm waiting for HELLKOMS WIMAX which they said they will offer me!
