I was using a SmartDNSProxy service for sometime. I stopped using it for a few months.

When I now tried to use it again I started having issues with it not working properly.

I contacted SmartDNSProxy service and was asked to run a few tests. They advised me that I'm having issues because the IPv6 is enabled and it should be disabled.

The fact is that IPv6 is not enabled in windows or on my router. I have tried with my B618 router and the B2338 and it still doesn't work properly.

I have done a IPv6 test and it says "No IPv6 address detected" but further is says "Your DNS server (possibly run by your ISP) appears to have IPv6 Internet access."

How do I solve this issue?

Sorry - not something I've come across.

Are you sure you're on IPv6? Who is your ISP?

Which DNS addresses have you chosen for your router?

I'm not on IPv6, it's unchecked. My screenshot in original post shows that "No IPv6 address detected"

Rain but it makes no difference if I use my VC sim

Customer care from SmartDNSProxy told me that I'm having issues because my ISP might be running IPv6 (see last item of screenshot)

The service used to work 100% without any issues.

The DNS servers as provided for South Africa

154.127.57.xxx
129.232.164.xx

I'm happy to test it on my rain sim after 11 if you like.

Not sure why you're xxx'ing out the DNS addresses, they're on their website. I use one SA one and on US one.

The xxx'ing is just out of habit

Both the ones I'm using are SA

This was the reply from their customer service

Are you still using this? I am on 30 day trial for ControlD. Netflix USA picture quality is excellent (looks like it's reaching 4K, but I don't have a way of checking) for a few minutes then becomes poor (worse than SD) for a few minutes. Just wanted to find out whether that has been your experience as well.

Yes I'm still using it. Paid for a year since it's superior to other smart dns services and combines nextdns as well. Strange mine is working great. Goes to 1080p (I only have a 20mb line).
