Hi all I'm a new and recently (unhappy) Telkom ADSL subscriber. I'm very happy with the technology however I'm very unhappy that we are so limited.

It seems to me that if Telkom wants (as they claim) to bring about customer satisfaction they should change their methods. If after-cap service was better, for example if I could actually check my emails, then maybe I would have more sympathy, SURELY they could increase the after-cap bandwidth so people could atleast check their mails and browse, even just to reach stable 14.4 speeds, surely that would not impact overall bandwidth. But it seems to me that they do this not to conserve bandwidth for everyones benefit but instead they want to try and force people and businesses to buy more more bandwidth each month as without it their internet is completely unusable and as a result take out even MORE money for an already over the top expensive service... It seems a donwright dishonest scheme, yet where else do you go for telecommunications?

The question is, what can be done? Other than when this new company does come on board, support them like crazy, on principle.

just my two cents worth.
regards

Lol,

Like any company Telkom doesn't want happy customers. They want a nice profit. When you don't have a monopoly, you may need happy customers to get that profit.

Telkom does have a monopoly. Telkom is getting it's profit.

What can be done? Why nothing of course.
