Jabra BT250v headset ?

I just bought my first bluetooth headset, the Jabra BT250v, and find this device great all round except that the sound quality is very poor with heavy crackling and the range is a mere 300~ 400mm (advertised 10M).

I tested this with a Samsung D840 and HTC P3600i and in each case the same problem.

Do you own one of these, and how do you find it?

I am about to return this one for a refund.

Been using one for more than a year now. Great sound, great battery and good range (walk around talking with the phone lying on my desk).

Have it swopped out. They have a lifetime warranty and mine was swopped when I had a problem in the beginning with not connecting correctly. Ever since working great.
