Koenigsegg 1:ONE acceleration record

would have to be 4 then.. 2 for each bank of the V8.

Also doubt the cost would be anywhere nearly as low as R200k then, because it would involve re-engineering the entire drive train of the vehicle to handle the additional power.

Got to love the handy piece of consumer advice: "Do NOT try this at home"

Like we've all got Koenigsegg's and are itching for something to do on a Friday night. :D

Could be referring to the whole not-holding-the-wheel thing.

an Ultima GTR will do similar times for a fraction of the cost, examples go for around a bar.

The Ultima GTR accelerates to 300 in 26s and is NA, slap two turbos on it for an extra 200k and you are doing similar times.

You funny guy

How much does refinement cost on the Ultima?

This is why I've fallen in love with Koenigsegg, pure underdog but it reks mainstream competitors.

theres absolutely nothing refined about an Ultima, so it will cost a pretty penny

there is this one, if you can call it refined

Looks like there has been a spanner thrown in the works.

The management of the Nurburgring have banned lap record attempts from manufacturers just a few days/weeks before the 1:One was about to give it a bash.

2 turbos to chop the pace by 10 seconds. And alter a N/a motor to accept these two turbos. quick quick and easy peasy... Right.

26 seconds vs 12 seconds, it needs to cut off 14 seconds :D

Part of me hopes he's a troll, nothing more. A bigger part of me hopes he wasn't sad enough to actually own a Monza... AND BE PROUD OF IT :/

How dare you speak of the legend in such a condescending tone? It went from CPT to JHB and back, with the aircon on. An achievement of historical significance...

to turbocharge a car if you have the budget and parts is actually very easy, theres nothing really complicated about building engines. If we agree that the Ultima GTR chassis can handle the power then all that matters is the power.

the motor that Ultima sells with its cars can be boosted close to 1000HP levels on standard internals, with forged internals the figures will shoot up very close to 2000hp, as the video clip I pasted shows.

If you decide to buy an Ultima GTR without the engine, you can easily place an engine of your preference into the car, and there are many engines that can you purchase to do that.

Also note I didn't say the Ultima GTR will beat the performance figures of the Koenig, I merely said similar, and you have to see things in the context of what the Ultima costs versus what the Koenig costs.
