Lens questions

Decide not to get the 150 - 500, although it is a good deal, I will not use it that much (at the moment) made a list of my requirements and it seems that a 10 - 20mm would be a better bet for what I mainly take photo's of. The 150 - 500 will be purchased when the need for it is on hand.
 
Got the SIGMA 10 - 20mm 1:4-5.6 EX DC HSM, with a 77mm UV filter thrown in for R5900 :)

On a lens [-]that wide[/-]* you really want to avoid using that filter, ever. Rather find someone you don't particularly care for and give them the filter.

*correction, it doesn't matter how wide it is
 
The filter does not appear in frame, and yesterday when taking photo's of my 1 year old neice it came in handy :) For now I just feel a bit more comfortable using the filter.

Glad to hear its not causing any vignetting but thats the least of the problems when it comes to uv filters. If you're concerned with fingerprints rather invest in a cheap microfiber cloth. :)
 
I have the micro fibre cloth, but was just protecting my new investment. Going to be shooting some skate boarding soon with it, so no filter is going to protect it then ;) Just need to add it to my insurance 1st.

I love how close you can get with it ans still have everything in focus :)
