Local Uncapped - Telkom (Am i reading this right)

ok, so does this mean that local is no longer capped...? any idea what the "lease note that this does not apply to sites with international links." means??

Hmm Telkom has so many old, non-updated pages about the bandwidth policy that this could just be one of those. I hope someone can clarify on this?

I'm not sure this is an old page, its part of the current signup process.

Just select the adsl option on this page:

however, it would appear that uncapped local only applies to the 3GB package, and none of the others.
 
Ok been to the site and I see that one requires a 3gig in order to get uncapped local but is this just the old policy? Sorry can't be of more help.
 
It could possibly be an old page because in the "old days" on the 3GB package you could still have local access once capped but on the 2GB package you were cut off completely once capped.

Unless they've simply reverted back to their old policy.

One could try calling Telkom to confirm. (LOL @ me for thinking you'll get an answer out of them).
 
Uncapped local doesn't mean jack-s*** if you use your 3GB bundle for both international and local surfing until it's finished.

If the wording of the offer was something like "3GB international cap and Uncapped Local", then it would have sounded a whole lot better.

Yip 100% in agreement. local should not count at all toward the cap.

Local isn't uncapped. I have a capped 3GB TelkomInternet account and you cannot connect once you're capped.

Their website has said that for ages. It just never gets updated.
