Macbook Pro Retina ANGER

A MacBook Air with Retina display would make the Pro near redundant. It would be a awesome machine but i'm not sure if Apple would make it. Unless they come up with something that would make the "Pro" moniker justifiable when compared to a MacBook Air with Retina display.

Agreed re awesomeness.

Everything will ultimately be retina, at least when affordability catches up (practically a year or 2); however that doesn't imply there won't be room or demand for a Pro range.
 
I don't think the Air comes with so many connectivity options (2 firewire, 2 usb3, hdmi out) as the new Macbook Pro 13" until it does I would still prefer the Pro.
 
The Non-Retina MacBook Pro 13" has 1 FireWire port and the MacBook Pro Retina Display and Air have none. HDMI is available on the Retina Display models directly and only via a converter cable on the others. All current MacBooks i.e. Air, Pro and Pro with Retina Display have 2 USB3 ports.
