MacBook Repair - PE

Can anyone recommend a reliable place in PE?
Macbook Pro M1 - almost two years old- wont power on.
Was working flawlessly, last used about 5 days ago, put it away in its bag, when I took it out,
it refuses to power on.
Took it to the Istore -
FAULT
Mac does not power on. did minimal config and still no power.
Needs a new logic board and touch id = 16k
They didn't do any diagnostics or even open it.
Says because it doesn't power on, it needs a new logic board before they can even assess it.
Thanks
I've used ANT repairs in newton park before for a 1 or 2 mac repairs, perhaps worth giving him a shout, and see?

Just some feedback
Ended up being a problem with the logic board
Sent to Macwave
Repair cost was 7k
Service great

Nice, what was the process like and what was the actual fault?

@gopes I would send it to SA Computers in Cape Town.

They do board level repairs and it will likely be a few hundred bucks.

i've used them quite often (for a number of years now) - definately recommended

good service, good work, fair price - and if board level repairs are needed, that comes with a warranty (unlike most others that offer board level repairs)

Istore offered a 90 day warranty on a swopped out board
Macwave gave a 6 month warranty on a board repair

That’s bs on many levels but by law they should also be giving 6 months?
What fault did Macwave actually repair on your board?

The board suffered an internal short on 3.8V line
Power supply issues are apparently the most ideal situation when it comes to board level repairs, they are reasonably simple to fault find/repair and far better chance for long term reliability.
