Mecer (Alcatel) Usb ADSL Modem

Hi guys,

I am new to ADSL, so please be gentle. The ADSL modem I use is the Mecer (Alcatel) USB ADSL Modem.

I am having HUGE problems with Azureus. When I do a NAT Test in Azureus on port 6881 I get an erorr: "Testing port 6881 ... NAT Error"

I dont use a Router or anything, just modem plugged straight into PC.

Has anyone had any experience with this? PS: I dont know how to get into the web interface of the modem to change port forwarding (which i believe is only available on a router, but im probably wrong) Is there even such a thing available on adsl modem?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try enabling uPnP in Azeureus.

Tried enabling and disabling...no help :-(

Even turned off firewall to check if that was the problem...still no luck.

Okay, so I took the modem back, got the Modem/Router option and voila.
