Melrose Arch Armed Robbery

The robbery was at Dave Sheer gunsmiths and firearms exchange. It's a gunshop that offers gunsmithing services etc. I didn't know the people working at that branch, but I've been around there a couple of times. All of the people working there that I've met were friendly and helpful to an extent that you don't often see in south africa today. None of them deserved this. :(
 
I actually have visited that shop. I remember thinking how vulnerable it all looked. There was one guy behind the counter - a really helpful guy.

It just seemed like a timebomb waiting to happen. What is one guy going to do if a couple of armed thugs come in acting as customers? Once they're through the door, and they pull their guns, it's game over.

What a shame...
 
I have heard that it was an inside job. one of the staff members was involved.

Yeah, and as I replied to you: don't assume that only people who haven't been victims of crime hate guns.

Man, that's a complicated sentence. Let me break it down for you:

1. Don't make assumptions.
2. Lots of people have been victims of crime.
3. Quite a few of them live in South Africa.
4. Many of those have been victims of violent crime.
5. And many of *those* victims are still against guns.
6. In fact, one way to be turned off the idea of guns completely is to have one stuck in your face.
7. Seriously. Don't make assumptions.

Yea i hear what you saying grayston. I hate guns and i've had many a family member held up at gunpoint. I despise weapons for that very reason.
 
Syndicate operation, even from a mile away. Stupid, jumpy, drugged robbers shoot for the chest and can't hit a head.

The next guy that robs you...he did it with a gun from that shop. The next cop that fails to respond to a 10111, probably carries a gun from that shop in his holster.

Africa for the Africans? South Africa for the animals.

If they are hell-bent on disarming law abiding citizens, then it should only commence once they have disarmed the criminals (ANC electorate) currently terrorising the public, but there's been no meaningful attempt as yet.

What he doesn't understand is that yes you may hate guns but guns are not the issue and secondly, disarming the law abiding citizens will NOT stop the criminals, it will have the opposite effect.
The animals that roam our streets will not just give up their tools to get what they want.
People should wake up and realise that.
