MNP from MTN to Vodacom

Hi all

Could not find a thread like this. I am considering moving from MTN mad: really poor service and lack of knowledge of their own products) to Vodacom but would like to keep my 083 number i.e. Mobile Number Portability.

Has anybody done this in the group and can you share you experiences and lessons learnt with me so that I can make an informed decision.

Ok, this is rather strange. You sure you want to port Away from MTN? Your choice. I have only done 1 port (Cellc to VM), and that was rather painless. I think the port from MTN to VC should be even more painless. Just give VC a call and hear what they have to say. They should sort you out in no time. As for tips&tricks to this whole process - dont know any sorry. Good Luck!

Well this is ironic. Here I am trying to port away from VC because of service that is not on par with the monthly charge and a lack of contract choices. Perhaps the correct thing for dissatisfied contract customers to do is to switch to prepaid until the major players start offering some real value on their contracts instead of throwing in an ipod just to get you to commit a very one-sided 24-month relationship.
