Mouse movement in Games and Windows

I am hoping someone can help me.

Upgraded my system and now my problems are never ending.

Running Vista 64bit and I have a Logitech MX3100 desktop.

Lets say if I am busy walking in the game and I move my mouse it stops me walking for a second. So every time I move my mouse my keyboard will cut out.

This does not only happen in games but if I go into notepad and I hold a key down it will type the letters across the screen, but as soon as I move my mouse it will stop for a second and then start again.

If I plug another mouse in it works fine. So I am starting to think its something to do with the settings of my mouse.

Does anyone have an idea?
 
my advice is rather ps/2 for keyboard and usb for mouse way to many problems when they both on usb
 
Got the latest drivers from Logitech. Will try different USB port and will let you know. If anyone else has any ideas please post them.
 
Ok so lets give you an update.

dakeyras: It is wireless...

The keyboard and mouse is not new. I had it with my old pc and it worked fine...

So I tried plugging into the ps2 ports still the same problem. Plugged into different USB ports same problem. Installed XP same problem.

The funny thing is if I go in a game then out of the game and then back into the game it does not do it anymore!
 
Uninstall Vista and burn it go back to XP and you'll have no problems.
 
hmmmm so if you go out the game and go back in then it's fine :confused:

Drivers can't be the issue as you clearly have gone so far as changing the OS back and forth.

Take the device....keyboard and mouse...and plug it into some1 elses PC if you can. Check if it still does it. Maybe take it to work or something.

If not then we nailed it down to your PC :) Which could mean your motherboard is faulty somewhere in some weird way...ask your supplier to test and get a replacement.

Or first maybe check your BIOS...I recall a setting for kyb/mouse being on turbo or fast. Change that. One sec while I reboot to find such setting.....

EDIT: This dam Dell PC has the most.. .erm..ya ..BIOS I have ever seen. Anyway on my ASUS at home I know there is such a setting in BIOS relating to USB. Try looking around in your BIOS
