Moving my Mom to Mac

Slightly O/t but Powerpoint runs quite well on a Mac as part of Microsofts Mac Office.

However imo keynote (as part of the iWork suite) is better and you can save to powerpoint format if needs be. :)

Yep, I agree with bwana on that one.

Also nice thing about PowePoint, if you have a secondary monitor connected, it shows the slides on the 2nd, and overview on the native (current slide large, next 2 smaller) and it gives you a timer to time yourself during the presentation

Most Canon scanners work in OS X, you gotta find the CanoScan toolbox for mac 'cuz the scanners don't "just work" when plugged in. Thats a Canon thing tho'.

Found it. I'll check it out later. Thanks for the tip. :)

Go to Preferences\Presenter Display in Keynote and see if you like what you see, maybe try playing with the different layouts and options.

Keynote just keeps getting better and better. :)

Work sent me on a course for the week. The trainer is using a MBP with Keynote for his slides. Sweet!

What struck me as extra nice is, that he represents a rather well known name in the IT industry, his slides were obviously company stuff, and it wasn't a powerpoint file that he just opened with keynote - I watched him carefully... :D
