All of a sudden my firefox doesn`t want to open pages nor can it open a site from my fav. list. I just have a blank screen and at the bottom it says "done"
My drop down adress menu doesn't want to open after I have put an alternative adress in.Does anybody know what is wrong?

i also experience similar problems. it sometimes only loads a page halfway and then stops. other times it doesn't want to open any page at all.

i have noticed that if i close and re-open it, it (sometimes) works.

I thought 1.0.4 was the latest, or are you perhaps refering to the revision number 1.7.8

Yes, but only since I loaded 1.0.4.
I've had the same problem. Happens about once a week.

I've been using 1.0.4 since it came out and had no problems until about a week ago, since then I've been getting timeout with most webpages and have to try 2 or 3 times before they appear correctly.

But I don't think my problem is the same as yours as it only happens with the iBurst modem.

Forgot to mention that it happens with all 4 PCs so my problem has to be iBurst.

Not necessarily: I've got this same issue on my home (MyWi connected) PC,
as well on my Work/Corporate PC on the LAN.
I may be way out .... but I think this may be related to something else
like Hyper Threading, as this is the common denominator in my case.

After rereading the thread it seems that andres101 has a similar problem to mine, if so I suggest he tries loading a webpage with a dialup modem and see if the problem is still there.
Except I don't get the "done" part, I just get "timeout".

One thing we seem to have in common is the base station as I assume he is connected to Culmwood_Gardens_2

* Firefox - Web browser
* Thunderbird - Email and newsgroup client
* Mozilla 1.7 - Internet Application Suite includes browser, email, HTML editor
* Camino - the Web browser project for Mac OS X

Mozilla 1.7 is not a combination of Firefox and Thunderbird. Mozilla 1.7 is a completely different application.

I use Mozilla 1.7.3 browser, when I open my browser it connects to Mozilla.org, no problem with that site, but nothing else.I am not sure if firefox is a diff. browser all together?

rgr jmn my mistake I thought he was refering to firefox only since the thread heading was Mozilla Firefox.

I have both installed, and I use both, but mostly I use Firefox, I use the Mozilla navigator when I need to login to the same site using another userid - like GMail, Net@ddress, and CellC - that have cookies that conflict with one another when logged in simultaneously...I also use chatZilla in the app suite...

FireFox ... it is lean and mean and the best.

The Mozilla suite is rather bloated has been renamed to SeaMonkey and has been given over to another organization of volunteers to develop and all efforts of the Mozilla Foundation is now towards FireFox, ThunderBird and Sunbird (their calendering app).

Don't even go there... :D

Mozilla is an all-in-one application, whereas Firefox / Thunderbird are standalone. As a result, Firefox and Thunderbird are faster in many respects, and take less resources. However, all run on the same Gecko engine.
