MSN Messenger Audio Problem

Check your firewall settings.

I use Msn messenger (now v7.0 beta) all the time without problems. (audio, webcam & chat)

Ya try checking that the necessary ports are open. Not sure exactly which ports it uses for audio but as far as i can remember it's documented on the microsoft website.

Otherwise try using netmeeting.
