I am in the process of transferring my contract from my ex employer into my name. I worked for them until the end of September 2006. The package my employer had for me was a ProCall 300. I am transferring it into my name and downgrading it to a My Choice 75. Now the service provider are saying that I am liable for the last month of service on the ProCall 300, and apparently my bill at the end of October is going to be around R800. The billing period is from the 7/8 of September to the 7/8 of October for most of which I was still employed and using the package for business purposes. Could someone please advise me on what actions I can take to avoid being billed this amount? Is this a issue between the SP and my ex employer etc? I mean I have only agreed to the R75/month fee and the connection fee R150. Now I have over 600 minutes that I have to pay for and according to the SP I will definitely loose them by the end of October when the transfer has gone through talk about getting severely screwed. Please any help or information on this issue would be highly appreciated?

Hi Timothybs

I had a look and according to our system you’re still on a Procall 300. This can be changed but there will be migration fees. Did you specify the requirements to the dealer ?

If so I would advise you go back there, Policy is that if you do a change of ownership you take the contract as is, Meaning: the termination and upgrade dates stay the same as well as the package. That should have been explained to you at the dealership.

On a good note. You’re due for an Upgrade already. If you wait till the 18/10/2006 and do it then, you can select any package without having to pay any penalties.

I would advise you to then select the My choice75 or 75 top-up as you would have it to be, and all is sorted.

Pls PM me if there is any further questions.
