MTN GPRS keeps on disconnecting!!

Is it just my phone or does MTN have a problem with GPRS. every time i connect the connections disconnects itself after +-10mins...

U might be in a area with low 3G coverage but good Edge coverage.

Your connection then changes from UMTS to Edge. This will disconnect the connection. Set your phone to either UMTS only or GSM only, instead of dual mode. That should sort the problem for you.

Nope, Managa is correct. Over teh last couple days, in the same spot, keeps disconnecting.....

Tried logging a coverage complaint ?

as far as i know if you do an inter-RAT handover from umts to gsm and vice versa you shouldnt disconnect but thats just me.

The reason is that it works off two different "Networks" if u will.

Have you acually tried getting beyond "My name is Patricia"? Even that's a chore for these people. Std 4 would be a compliment. Eisch!
