Mtn Uncapped vs ADSL 384kbps uncapped - let the games begin

I love my slow adsl of course the voice line rental irks me as I don't have any to call on it

At the moment MTN Uncapped Lite offers the best value, but only until the 4 month promotional period is done... then you're stuck with a virtually useless Internet connection for the balance of the 24 months.

I'll hold out until MTN's announcement early next year. For now just keep using your 384kbps ADSL.

The ADSL 384kbps is better than the MTN Uncapped (beleive it or not)

After using their "fair data" you get heavily shaped to 128kbps (like 12kb/s download and upload speed).

Where as with ADSL, you get speeds of up to 57kb/s download and 25kb/s upload speed.

Currently it's not, because they let you fly full speed 24/7.

personally i would rather go with a 384 ADSL line, it's all good the fair usage policy for mtn is not in use currently but come end Jan you will be pulling your hair out for the remainder of your contract....

I would rather wait to see if this policy changes by the end of jan before deciding to sign up

I hope MTN decides to remove or lift the "fair data" a bit or shape the speeds to 1/2/3MBps etc.

If not, then MTN is very good at tricking people, put the speeds up for summer then reduce them back to normal, yet you have been tied down to a 24 month contract.
