Yes, because of spam, SMTP providers stopped accepting unauthenticated connections not coming from their own network.
i.e. you cannot use MTN's SMTP service while you have an MWEB IP address.
The solution is to change SMTP settings when you change networks, or use authenticated SMTP and your email provider's SMTP server.
