This is sooo wrong, my equipment was installed today, but no username and password.... and I have to wait till Monday for it - Noooooooooo !!!! Job very well done must say....Anyone (of the selected few) kind enough to borrow me their account for a few mins - I have to try this out - PLEASE !!!!!

As the service is still so new the speeds are still erratic.
Perhaps still too premature to say what this product can do in South Africa with our "known" limitations, but from what I have read overseas Wimax has got huge potential and faster than ADSL.

He has seen those speeds mentioned above, but at the moment speeds are more like 384Kb.
He reckons MWeb could be testing, there could be several trialist's sharing the same connection all "torrenting" away, hence the slower speeds.

He did say uploading is sometimes faster than ADSL as it caps out at 512Kb as opposed to ADSL which uploads at 384Kb, on the 1mb accounts that is.

As he says, it is too early to say.
I sincerely hope that Wimax works as it has the potential of being a real alternative to ADSL.

PS. People on the MWeb Wimax Trial, cannot actually say anything as they have signed a confidentiality agreement with MWeb.

There's a Freaksta on Greenlab torrent site. I guess MWEB should have chosen their trialists more carefully.
